Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) DescribtionOur Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) System is a high-performance solid-liquid separation core equipment for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, specially engineered to remove suspended solids (SS), oil & grease, colloidal substances, and other refractory light pollutants from wastewater efficiently.Its core working principle is based on advanced dissolved air technology: the system fully dissolves compressed air into the recycled purified water under pressure to form a saturated dissolved air water, which is then released rapidly through a professional release device to generate countless fine micro-bubbles (10-100μm) in the treatment tank. These micro-bubbles attach tightly to the pollutant particles in the water, forming low-density bubble-particle flocs that are lighter than water. Driven by buoyancy, the flocs float up quickly to the water surface to form a stable scum layer, which is scraped off and discharged by the automatic scum scraper. The purified water after solid-liquid separation flows out from the bottom of the tank, achieving the goal of wastewater purification and pollutant removal.
Designed with practical engineering needs in mind, this DAF system features a compact structure that saves valuable plant floor space, simple operation and daily maintenance with an intelligent control panel for one-click operation, and stable long-term running with low energy consumption and reagent dosage.
